“Diving back into crochet headfirst a short time later, I was determined to get so good I could be deemed an “expert.” The love for crochet turned into a love for yarn, and I bought my first spinning wheel. Spinning yarn, led to dyeing that yarn, roving, etc. Now, I have sold my hand painted colorways all around the world! Dyeing for me, is meditative. It is a way to be present yet immerse yourself in your vision and make it in your physical reality. It is quite amazing if you think about it.”

“I love using bright, saturated, happy colors. Jacquard Acid Dyes have provided me just that. The vibrant colors jump off the page. When people look at my work, I want it to make them smile. I love doing rainbows in all different ways. The colors I use most are Hot Fuchsia, Turquoise and Sun Yellow, which are the primary pigments. Then, I use Silver Grey and Jet Black for toning. I enjoy hand painting and blending my own colors. They come out so bright when you do it that way. I have just about every color they provide and use them all for various colorways. I use Synthrapol and Citric Acid to aid in the process of dyeing yarns and spinning fiber as well. I have always been able to count on Jacquard to provide beautiful dyes and great products, and they have never failed me! I have used their dyes since day one, and I plan on using them forever.”
