Pearl Ex Watercolor Instructions:

  1. Mix 4 parts dry Pearl Ex Powdered Pigment to 1 part Gum Arabic powder, with a wooden stir stick, in each well of a palette.

  2. Slowly add water to each mixture, with the provided Transfer Pipette, while stirring until the consistency is thick and taffy-like.

  3. Allow your mixes to rest 24-48 hours in your palette.

  4. To use, dampen a brush (like a normal cake watercolor) to reactivate the paint.

Notes/Tips:

  • Mark the end of the wooden stir stick (approximately 1/4" from end) before using, to measure amounts more accurately.

  • If you find your cakes do not set up, chill 24-48 hours in the freezer to harden.

  • If too much water is used, it can take up to 72 hours to set.
