Screen ink on snow clothes
  • Hello,
I am new to these products so I do not know much. I want to paint a design on some snow pants I have, and am wondering if the Jacquard screen ink will work. The pants are 100% polyester but are weather/waterproofed so I'm guessing there is some kind of extra waterproof (maybe polyurethane) layer?
Thanks for any help or advice on which product would work best!
  • The screen ink is the best choice for use on hard to stick surfaces. you might try removing waterproofing by wiping the area to be painted with acetone first. Try a very small spot to make sure that the acetone does not melt the plastic. You might try rubbing alcohol instead.

If you paint instead of print the ink, paint it in very light layers. You want the layers to go on very thin because the screen ink can dry with a skin overtop of it that keeps the inside wet forever when applied to thick.
